Novara's coach, Kumi Nakata has a blog and she tell about the first match in it.

Team URBINO has been playing as our analysis data.
However, we had a lot of mistakes ( serves and attacks etc. ) our blocks
were unworking at the impotant situation.
The match was URBINO's rhythm till the end. Only POWER VB style doesn't work in Europe.

I'm happy Novara victory.
But I think they DID lots errors themselves. and it seemed Setter Iirina and Manon, Logan had combination problem.
Logan played lots reception as usual, but 80% Pos% is abit too much.
2 Aces Logan, Manon had many attack errors... Both Logan and Manon attacks were shut by Piacenza blocks each 6 points.
Attack Pt% Logan 26%, Manon 36%.... row toss?
