As you know, Novara's coach is Kumi Nakada from Japan, and she wrote about Logan Tom in her weblog.
I tried to write it Japanese into English. I hope you can understand my English…

It was amazing!?

I watched our team's game after a long time.
After backed from Japan, I asked to team staffs how team is going? The answer was it isn't good enough. I was worried about how the game is going...

Starting line-up are OP：Flier, WS：Tom/Kozuch, C：Brazza/Paggi, SE：Kirillova

We won in 5th set...it was almost a miracle.

Kozuch and Flier plays as Opposite in own national team, so basically they don't play reception. But in this game case, Logan opposing corner is Kozuch, so she has to play for reception. She practices very hard, and trained after normal train her selves.

Arsizio got 2 sets and in middle of the 4th set, Kozuch and Flier are back row position. We really wanted to get a point. Then our head coach ordered Kozuch to play for back row attacking, and she removed out of reception positioning. It means only Logan and Libero have to serving receive. Naturally, Logan is the serving target by Arsizio. Logan has to attack after her reception, so her attacking timing is rather slow.... but, Kozuch and Flier they will cover by back row attacking.

Of course, we haven't done the practice like that before!
I was very surprised that our players high skill to play with coach's instructions at the time without practice, more than surprised at coach’s inspiration

As a result, we got the set 29-26 and going to the final 5th set...
Then, our miracles started...
We went 3-8 down and changed a court, and almost team mood is resignation.

The score is still 6-11 and it was hard to get a point.
Logan Tom changed our rhythm. She DID single block 2 times in a row.

Arsizio's good mood was stopped, and then Novara started making a countercharge against it. We got 9 points in a row and finally won by 15-11.

One play can change the game!
Watching for a chance carefully!
There are interesting point also scary point in VB.

However, when a mood is getting into a desperate situation, Logan can show concentration power and Good judgment. I thought she has something strong victory spirits different from other players.

Novara has been winning a game by 5th sets. I definitely think Novara is getting build a good momentum.

However, I have something on my chest.
MB attacking is few. I think if MB can quick attacks many times in a rally, it could reduce
the burden of WS and back row attacking and Pos rate is getting high.
How our coach thinking about it...

I'm looking forward to watching our games.

vs. Perugia

Logan hasn't practiced before a week by sick. She joined our trip but couldn't practice with us.
I was same room with her, and she looked really bad.

Kumi [ Can you play a match tomorrow ? ]
Logan [ Coach said I'm starting line-up ]
Kumi [ ... ]

On the game day, we played with Logan as usual.
1st set, Logan DID nice blocks 2 times in a row in the beginning of the match, and Flier killed nice attack 2 times in a row. Novara's mood is good.
(abbrev)Suddenly, Logan shouted from a court [ I want to go toilet!], and changed to sub....

I think she didn't join for Poland yesterday. Is she OK? I'm worry about her...
Logan never said [ Can't!!! ], so sometimes she pushes too hard herself.
Novara have last 2 games in this year 2009.
Please don't push your self too hard, and we are waiting you with perfect condition anytime!
