i guess logan use float server because she may felt her jump serve not very stable. If u remember olympics USA vs CHN. Logan use jump server first. But she made 4 errors. afterward, she change server style to float serve.
just finished watching the USA-CHN at the Olympics saw Logan changing serving style.. she even managed to float-serve so that it could be beautiful and useful at the same time
I've just watched Logan's first game in V-league -- thanks Naa! The playing style is totally different -- there were a lot more tip shots or drop shots. Most of the spikes were done by Logan and 1 or 2 other players. The players digged the ball really well; there was a lot of husselling (sp?). Logan did a great defensive job - like always. I think the setter was not used to Logan yet. Her sets were often not high enough or too close to the net. Hopefully the setter will adjust as the season goes on.
There were two instances that cracked me up. One was in a team hurdle during a time-out near the end of the match when someone on the team just yelled out "Logan!" Her reaction was cute. And then at the beginning of the interview, Logan said "Hi" and then the translator translated "Hi". Hahaha. Love her smile. I like her scowls during the game too, but I love her smiles. Her face just lights up.

totally agree about absolutely different style in playing! countless number of digs! well, mostly because the attacks are not that strong with all those tips and drops... I think, that's because the players are so small Logan is probably the highest on Hisamitsu

I think Logan said that herself. I'm pretty sure that was her voice

Yes, Tay is doing well and she's BEST Scorer now.
Team Pioneer already had 5 matches, but another teams had only 3 or 4 matches, that why Tay's total points are highest.
This week, Tay is OFF on Sat.
Come on USA ladies Logan and Tay. Keep doing well!

[ 2008.11.22-23 Hisamitsu games ] Some of starting-lineup members of last season, they have injury now so they can't play in this season yet.
This member isn't the BEST member, also we have lots looked injured players.
( I mean no one have tip-top condition. Many players are playing with feeling pain leg or backache, you know? )
I actually disappointed that Hisamitsu lost 2 consecutive games. But, 1st setter injured yesterday so 2nd setter had to play today; I felt all players really trying hard, but just they can not win...
Hisamitsu could not get their rhythm to the end of the game...
EVER ONWARD
[VS TORAY]
I think many audiences have thought Hisamitu can get the victory, because their rhythm was really good until 2set.
This season Araki Erika (Toray) is playing in Serie-A so she isn't there, but I think another members are very well organized.
Hisamitsu 3 starting-lineup members was changed from last season (not including Logan), I think it's one of the lost game reason. I think we need take some time to make good combination.
[VS TOYOTA]
This season Renata Colombo from BRA is there, she used played in Team BRA. She's very very high-powered player and she doesn't play serving-receive anytime. I mean she has enough ability to play (all spikes)
But, Logan DO serveving-recieve many times also spikes all the time....
She has to play all the time, we know she is all around player but...seems TOO MUCH!
When team rhythm is getting bad, always setter toss for her like [Please, DO IT]
We believe LT is savior of Hisamitsu.
Hisamitsu was lost at the end for 2days; it was just one step away from winning.

In fact , lost to toray i'm not surprised but toyota
VS toray , i saw the result , just can say LT already gave what she can do, but other member , like #6 she get 6 point @ 5 sets match, average 1 set she only get 1.2 point, i'm not blame her, but just a little bit low for the OH
